WELCOME TO THE YARD

Location. Location. Location. Cut and Run isn’t your average salon, and ‘the yard’ at 1 Bouverie Road isn’t your typical pocket of Stoke Newington. In a part of London that’s changed a lot over the last 20 years, it’s a throwback to the Hackney of old – buzzing with creative ideas, inspiring characters, and that extra pinch of East London magic.

Continuing
the legacy

Counterculture, rock & roll, and motorcycles have been part of the yard since the 1860s, when local craftsmen specialised in fibreglass parts for café racers, and Hackney’s artists sold and reworked vintage antiques by giving them their own unique twist.

A lot’s changed since then, but you’ll still hear great music and the roar of motorcycle engines from our salon windows, thanks to our neighbours downstairs. Together, the yard’s current tenants are proud to be writing the next chapter in this historic location’s legacy. We’re sure you’ll love it as much as we do.
